It’s already light and I’m running around Hendon for a morning jog … 5:15am.
Next thing I’m on the 7.53am train to Sheffield and my head is trying to remember what I might have forgotten!
I turn up at 10am and face a lot of cardboard boxes and the smiling face of Paul Andrew who has kindly laid everything in front of the ‘big window’ in BIS, St. Paul’s Place.
Between 10am and 1.35pm I lose myself in the display. A couple of deliveries come in from Contra Vision and Nanoflam., they look fabulous!
Hotter Shoes take joint first prize for ‘the most outrageous display’ shared with Detectamet.
A personal favourite is the simplicity of the Gtech display, a cordless vacuum cleaner with a green box, something very Jeff Koons about that!
And then there’s Camira Fabrics and Company Shop.
All in all a great bunch of local winners! There’s a few comments as I’m leaving … ‘best one yet’ seems to be the flavour.
I make the train back with 3 minutes to spare carrying an unfinished tepid coffee… I’ll need to remember to try to stop cutting it so fine in future.
