Cambridge Healthcare Research are thrilled to win a Queen's Award in 2020

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Uncategorized

Since the start of our 'CHR journey', our diverse, talented and dynamic team has been the driving force behind our growth and success. This has been recognised, in this toughest of years, with the International Trade Award which forms part of the nationally acclaimed and prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2020.

We are immensely proud as a company to have been recognised with this accolade. We feel it would not have been possible without our amazing team, both here in the UK and abroad. Their hard work, passion and dedication has enabled CHR to achieve significant growth whilst supporting our clients in the development and launch of new pharmaceutical products.

Because of this, we wanted to give them the opportunity to share what the Queen’s Award has meant for them, the company, and their colleagues.

What does it mean to you being part of a Company who has won the Queen’s Award?

Brendan Walkden BSc PhD, Principle

“The reaction to the award from our client-base, made up primarily of multi-national pharmaceutical companies has been extremely positive and has generated real interest in our company.  Being part of a company that has won the Queen’s Award feels like true validation of the quality work we pride ourselves on delivering in each and every project. Winning the award has afforded everyone in the company the opportunity to talk about the impact we bring to our customers, household names in the global fight against disease and winning such a prestigious award is a clear sign we are on the right track to creating a very special company that provides value within the global healthcare ecosystem.”

Do you feel different being part of a company who has won a Queen’s Award?

Tom Charlton PhD, Senior Associate Consultant

“I am very proud to be part of a company that has won a Queen’s Award for International Trade. I am also proud to have been a part of CHR’s international growth, which has been driven by the value our work brings to our clients. Winning a Queen’s Award therefore feels like an acknowledgement of our dedication and hard work! This recognition has made a difference to our interactions with clients and medical experts as the impact of our work is highlighted by the Queen’s Award branding, which reflects CHR’s position as a leader in the field. Finally, I feel that, by winning a Queen’s Award, we have set a standard to uphold. So, it is good to see that we are not resting on our laurels and that the teams’ passion and commitment to quality has not changed!”

What do you feel winning the Queens Award has meant for the company as a whole, getting this recognition?

John Acord MBA PhD, Consultant

“Winning the Queen’s Award for International Trade has given everyone at CHR a great sense of pride; pride that the work we do is valued by both our national and international clients, and pride that the core attributes we carry into our everyday work – curiosity, quality and passion – have helped the company to make such an impact both in the UK and overseas.”

Did you feel excited to find out that CHR had won a Queen’s Award?

Emma Goffin BSc MSc, Senior Associate Consultant

“I was thrilled to find out that CHR had won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of international trade. Quality is one of the core values at CHR and is a personal passion of mine, so knowing that our hard work has been recognised is excellent motivation and demonstrates to our global clients that we produce high quality work. Being a part of CHR’s rapid growth has been an exciting experience and I am proud to be a member of such a driven team. I look forward to being involved in the continued success of CHR.”

Being based outside the UK, how do you feel about the award and about the company getting such a recognition?

Vera Malheiro PhD, Senior Associate Consultant

“I was not familiar with the prize but immediately thought it must be an important award, after all it was the “Queen’s” award! A little bit of reading just confirmed what an honour this accolade was and felt particularly important as it was given in the international trade category which speaks to the essence of who we are – boundless and diverse. So, how do I feel about the award? I feel privileged to work in a company that helps business no matter where they are, and I am proud that we are recognised for being successful at it, amongst the many companies that seek to do the same.”
