Yesterday marked HM The Queen's 90th birthday and a was a very special day for businesses who have won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2016.
One of the best things about my role is hearing from small to medium sized businesses who have won a Queen's Award for Enterprise. This year, they account for 95% of the 243 winners.
It's a fantastic achievement and the Queen's Awards team love learning more about the winners and their businesses. It's very inspiring and we hope the 2016 winners will spur on other outstanding businesses to apply.
It's the start of a journey for many as Award holders tell us that winning an Award has helped them to gain new clients, win new contracts and access new markets.
