Queen’s Awards winners are a fine example of the excellence that Scotland has to offer the rest of the world. That is what the Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael said as he visited one of this year’s successful businesses, Paragon Inks (Holdings) Ltd.
Based in Livingston, Scotland, Paragon Inks manufactures inks and coatings for packaging and product decoration, and won their Award in the International Trade category. They were 1 of 10 Scottish businesses to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise last month and Alistair Campbell offered his own congratulations, saying;
Through the Queens Awards it is great that Scottish companies have been recognised for their outstanding efforts both at home and across the globe.
In response to winning their Award, Managing Director of Paragon Inks, Shaun Bennett said;
I’m absolutely delighted and proud that Paragon Inks has achieved such a high accolade in the Queen's Award for Enterprise, massive thanks has to go out to our staff, customers & suppliers.

Before we sign off, one thing we'd like to mention is that The Queen’s Awards will be at the International Festival of Business in Liverpool, which runs throughout June and July, and information about the Awards will be available at the Business is Great stand. We will provide more details about this event and our involvement in a later blog.
