On one of the warmest days in the last 6 years, and hot on the heels of the new Royal arrival, we held an afternoon celebration for our 2013 winners as a ‘warm-up’ to the main event at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen’s Awards Office is super busy preparing for our big, pre-Palace winners event next Tuesday afternoon.
Sean and I headed up North on Monday (the hottest day of the year so far) to set up this year’s exhibition of Queen’s Awards winners in the window of the BIS Sheffield office.
I spent a very pleasant couple of hours this afternoon in the company of Metal Events Limited, as a guest at their Queen’s Awards presentation ceremony.
We’re almost 2 months into the entry period for the 2014 Queen’s Awards already!

Not content with a LinkedIn page, a Twitter account and a brand new blog, The Queen’s Awards Office is hurtling even deeper into the digital arena and filming our own mini videos for YouTube!
23 July is the day of the Queen’s Awards 2013 reception at Buckingham Palace. I'm sure the winners are looking forward to this and to make the day a bit more special I’m delighted to announce an additional afternoon celebration.
Last week, I visited first time Queen’s Award winner Livity based in Brixton, to meet Sam Conniff and some of the team.
Tomorrow is my last day with The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise team and I will be very sorry to say goodbye.
