Identity honoured to receive ‘the ultimate stamp of approval’

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Advice, Recipients

Identity is a leading human experience agency. It works with blue chip clients, global brands and governments from around the world delivering exceptional live, virtual and hybrid events. It is the only events agency to receive The Queen’s Award for International Trade, 2020.

The last 20 years has seen Identity go from strength-to-strength, winning high-profile blue-chip clients and government tenders, to deliver some of the UK’s biggest events. Recent clients include; Google, Siemens, the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, HyperX, Harley-Davidson and Sportradar. By constantly pushing the creative and innovative boundaries, Identity has grown international sales exponentially and significantly expanded its global client base.

Alongside it’s prestigious Queen’s Award, Identity also achieved a ranking in the latest Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 table – the league table that ranks the top 100 British companies with the fastest growing sales. Boasting a team of 100+, Identity has its HQ and 30,000 sq. ft of production facilities in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Why did Identity apply for a Queen’s Award in International Trade?

Michael Gietzen, Identity’s managing director, has always regarded the Queen’s Awards as the epitome of business success and felt that this would be a powerful means to differentiate Identity from competitors. Over the last five years, Identity has expanded rapidly and remains, despite the pandemic, one of the UK’s fastest growing agencies. The process of applying for the award was revealing in its own right. It focussed the team’s minds on what they were doing exceptionally well and where creative strengths lay. It also highlighted further international opportunities – so the application process was a very worthwhile exercise in its own right.

What does it mean for Identity to receive a Queen’s Award?

There is no doubt that a Queen’s Award is the most prestigious business award that the UK offers. Winning the Award brings Identity further worldwide recognition, increased commercial value, greater publicity and, considering the turbulence created throughout the events industry by the Covid pandemic, an incredible boost to staff morale. Leaving the pandemic aside, the Award is the ‘stamp of approval’ recognised throughout the world. The endorsement provided by the trusted Royal Emblem demonstrates that Identity is an outstanding British company.  Congratulations have been received from existing clients, prospective clients, as well as suppliers and the media. Winning has helped further cement Identity’s position as one of the UK’s most successful, dynamic and progressive event agencies.
