Stiltz Homelift provide a range of domestic homelifts available as the 2-person Duo and the 3-person/wheelchair-accessible Trio.
Stiltz Homelifts has grown rapidly since inception in 2010. The business manufactures, sells and installs homelifts into domestic properties around the world directly to the end consumer, as well as through a trusted network of international distributors.
In addition to carving a niche in the mobility sector to serve a fast-aging global population, Stiltz have created a whole new category of ‘homelift’ stealing a march on existing providers of through-floor lifts and gaining ground on the less attractive and far less flexible stairlift.
Essentially, customers don’t want to have equipment in their home that reminds them of the mobility problems they might be experiencing. The majority are the original baby boomers – they’re the rock n roll generation who like to be surrounded by well-designed and attractive products.
Consumer response has been outstanding with the 2nd generation Duo+ and Trio+ products being embraced by those with both age and illness-related mobility issues as well as older customers looking to future-proof their homes for the coming years.
Why Stiltz Decided to Apply
The Queen’s Award has always been on co-founder and CCO’s Lachlan Faulkner’s radar as the unequivocal affirmation of business success. There has been strong belief in the product from the outset. It was a matter of growing the organisation to the point that performance and profile was sufficient to merit applying.
From a standing start in the UK, through initial export expansion into Germany, USA and Australia and subsequent building of connections across Europe, the Middle East, South America, Africa and the Far East it was felt the time was right to go after the ultimate accolade; The Queen’s Award for International Trade.
What Winning the Queen’s Award Means to the Stiltz Team
The Stiltz family, from the board of Directors through to the field-based installation and building teams, are immensely proud of winning the Queen’s Award. It comes at a time of difficulty for many businesses – during the pandemic – but Stiltz are delighted that the business has been minimally impacted due to the resilience of our business model, our products and our staff. Stiltz has continued to work throughout the lockdown and has come out the other side even stronger than before.
How Winning the Award Will Benefit Our Business
The reaction from suppliers, partners and even competitors has been overwhelmingly positive. Winning the Queen’s Award for International Trade will raise the Stiltz profile both at home and abroad. The Stiltz brand is fast gaining traction in its own right with data showing that internet brand searches are now at their highest ever point. The online and offline PR generated as a result of the win is especially invaluable. Being able to use the Queen’s Award logo on the company website, on stationery, advertising (press and TV) adds gravitas to the offering and provides added reassurance to customers, suppliers and distributors.
