Design is a huge part of modern life, we all judge in which decade a film or television show was made or set by the design of the cars, clothes or hairstyles.
So where does design fit into a Queen’s Award for Enterprise?
It could be updating your logo, changing your brand or even coming up with a new way of doing something is a launch pad for success.
Three recent winners of Queen’s Awards have also previously won design awards.
Peak Scientific
Peak Scientific won the dba (design business association) award for updating their distinctive pyramid brand logo, this put them in a stronger light on the world stage and since 2012 they have continued to grow at an extraordinary rate.
Sanofi
Sanofi won a design award back in 2010 for their innovative new design of a disposable injector pen to deliver regular injections.
Frugi
Finally Cut4Cloth introduced a new brand Frugi for their range of organic clothes designed specifically for mums, toddlers and babies. Their 2009 award has seen their year on year turnover increase and now accounts for the majority of the company turnover.
